Getting Around
Rental Cars & Ridesharing
For the rest of your stay, Gainesville is a small city, but things are spread out.
Renting a car (especially if you fly into JAX, MCO, or TPA) is highly recommended. Uber and Lyft are also common and relatively inexpensive for inner-city trips.
Once submitted, you'll be matched with other guests to coordinate a carpool to/from Gainesville.

Accomodations

If you have extra time, here are a few of our favorite things to do in Gainesville!

Explore Downtown Gainesville
Some of Delaney's favorite spots are in the heart of downtown, like Maude's for an amazing raspberry mocha iced coffee, Flaco's for the best burrito in town, Palomino's for pool and beers, or Satchel's Pizza for a quirky artsy dinner experience.

Walk UF's Campus
Stroll through the beautiful brick buildings, see the real "Swamp" (Ben Hill Griffin Stadium), and visit Lake Alice.

Explore Payne's Prairie
See wild alligators, bison, and horses from the observation tower on Highway 441. For a real taste of the gator scene, walk La Chua Trail to see dozens of gators!

Visit the Harn Museum of Art
The Harn Museum features a beautiful collection of contemporary and modern art, historical artifacts, and beautiful architecture. Next door to the Natural History Museum and Butterfly Rainforest, there's plenty to see around campus!
